1. Acceptance
YaatriGan is operated by NutanTech Labs LLP (“YaatriGan”, “we”, “us”), a limited liability partnership registered in India. By using the YaatriGan website or app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or using the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
2. What the service is
YaatriGan is an information and planning service for Indian railway travel. It helps you find, compare and understand journey options, and it explains the reasoning behind what it recommends. Depending on what is available for your route and date, that can include routes and connections, seat and fare information, waitlist and quota comparisons, how trains on the route have been running, connection-risk analysis, and a simulated Journey Success figure.
The service is provided free of charge and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it. Features described on this website may change as the product develops.
3. We do not sell tickets
YaatriGan does not issue, sell, reserve, hold, cancel or refund railway tickets, and it is not a travel agent. We take no payment from you and we hold no booking on your behalf.
When you decide to travel, you book through the official booking channel. Your ticket, your payment, your PNR, your cancellation and your refund are entirely a matter between you and that channel, on their terms — not ours. We cannot see your PNR and cannot intervene in a booking.
YaatriGan is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by or operated by Indian Railways, IRCTC or any government body. Train numbers, station names and railway terminology are used only to describe the services they identify.
4. Accuracy, estimates and simulations
Railway information changes constantly. Schedules, fares, availability, waitlist positions, quotas, platforms, special trains, rules and live running can all change between the moment we check something and the moment you act on it.
We take real care to distinguish what we know from what we think, and we label it: a current observation, a historical pattern, a prediction, a simulation, or an honest “we don’t know”. But:
- Predictions and probabilities are estimates, not promises. A confirmation chance of 74% is not a commitment that your ticket will confirm.
- Journey Success is a simulation of how a journey tends to go, given what we could establish. It is not a guarantee that you will travel, connect or arrive on time.
- Nothing here is a guarantee of a seat, a berth, a fare, a connection, an arrival time or a refund.
Always confirm the final train, class, quota, boarding point, date, fare and conditions with the official booking channel before you pay or travel. Where the official information and YaatriGan disagree, the official information is correct.
5. Quotas, eligibility and booking variants
Some options depend on eligibility that only you can establish — a ladies quota, a senior citizen or lower-berth preference, a disability concession — or on a specific booking arrangement, such as reserving from one station while boarding at another.
Where we surface such an option, we show the conditions attached to it. It remains your responsibility to actually satisfy them: to hold any required concession certificate or identification, to make any required boarding-point declaration at the time of booking, and to comply with the railway’s rules, including how they interact with schemes such as VIKALP.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use automated means to access the service at a scale or rate that burdens it, or to scrape, harvest or bulk-extract its content;
- copy, resell, redistribute or commercially exploit YaatriGan’s output without our written permission;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its systems or its data, or to probe, scan or test their security;
- interfere with the service’s operation, or with anyone else’s use of it;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to misrepresent it as official.
We may suspend or block access where we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.
7. Intellectual property
The YaatriGan name, logo, interface, written content, and the models, scoring and simulation methods behind it belong to NutanTech Labs LLP and are protected by law. You may use the service for your own travel planning; nothing here grants you a licence to our brand or our code.
Railway data, timetables, train names and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and are used to describe the services they relate to.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, NutanTech Labs LLP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, opportunity, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. In particular, we are not liable for a missed train, a missed connection, an unconfirmed ticket, a late arrival, a fare difference, a cancellation charge, or any onward cost such as a flight, hotel or event that depended on your journey.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
You agree to indemnify NutanTech Labs LLP against claims arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these Terms.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and for anything significant we will say so clearly in the app. Continuing to use YaatriGan after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if these Terms are breached, or if we discontinue the service.
10. Governing law, disputes and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Ranchi, Jharkhand have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the service.
Before going to court, please write to us — most things are a misunderstanding that an email fixes.
